Going to a new home

I am adopted! Akiko got lost on the way and was late, but my new mom was waiting for me. My new house has so much to explore including the stairs!

National Feral cat Day food drive

The food drive was a great success! we got so much donations that filled up our back area and we were getting worried about storage. All the foods will be distributed to the feral colony caretakers. Thanks to all who came out to donate and support.


Kimberly happened to be back in town for work, so she stopped by to support us. It was nice to see her again. Here she is with Laura who made all the posters, signs, and eye catching decorations and flyers.


We also had 2 adoptions - Abigail and Haddi will be going to a new home this week.

At Pasadena Petco, Kitten Rescue will be holding a food drive to help support feral cats and their colony caretakers in honor of National Feral Cat Day. Please stop by this weekend 10/17 and 10/18 between noon - 3:30pm during our usual adoption event.

Stormy adopted

A lot of KR volunteers and spouse helped me out with my adoption process. My new home is in Orange County. The drive was long, but the car was nice and cool with the AC blasting. I already scared her by hiding in her closet and being very quiet. My mom thought I was gone and almost made her cry. I'm sorry. i won't do that again. We've been bonding since !

RIP Moonbeam

This is a tribute post for a beloved kitty at the Sanctuary - Moonbeam. She had FIP (feline Infectious Peritonitis) which is a fatal disease. She came to us from a hoarding situation and lived at the Sanctuary. She loved being in the sun, and that is what she did till the very end.

Mister - Thomas update

Mister - who is now named Thomas was adopted back in June. His new mom sends up updates here and there, and theses are some recent photos of Thomas.

finally back!

It took longer than anticipated, but Pasadena Petco is finally done with construction. We, the new batch of kitties, were transported to Petco on 8/23 when the hills were burning, and had a chance to settle in.

Actually, we didn't settle in. I am Aniston.

and I am Audra.

we came here with our mom Abigail, but as soon we started to sneeze uncontrollably. We met a potential adopter, but was sent back to the Sanctuary for observation. I guess we are "allergic" to Petco because we haven't sneezed at all ever since.

I am Abigail. I had Audra and Aniston, but I myself is still a kid. I love to be held.

I am Stormy. My foster mom who took care of me since I was a baby had to move out of town. So I am here till I find a new home.


This is not my first time here. i am Haddi - the great crazy kitty. After being shuffled from place to place, I am back and hopefully this time, my new mom and dad will find me.

We all had to "evacuate" during the Petco store remodeling. So Kyra and Poe are back at the Sanctuary, and KingPin is with his new foster. We will be back in August!

A typical afternoon at the sanctuary where we lounge as we please. Simpatico is napping on top of the enclosures.

Sun spots can be competitive, but Butters and Dexter is enjoying the sun and fresh breeze.


some of us are not meant to be messed with. In the Social room area, we semi-ferrals live in unison. Some of us prefer to stay wild.

" are you hungry yet..?" "yeah, are you?"

Sometimes we have to say good bye to our friends and that's a fact of life. Recently Weezil and Snuggles went over the rainbow bridge. Some of our friends who are sick are in isolation wards where they are taken really good care of and monitored.
We welcome new friends who has been surrendered and abandoned. We also welcome kittens that were dumped at various locations around town.
Audra and Aniston are one of the 2 new addition to the Kitten Rescue family.

We all long for a permanat home and family, but till then, we have a home here.
